I feel bad only giving 1 star because the young lady that did my manicure was absolutley great. However, the lady who runs the front desk (I heard to be the owner) is horrible, and I can not give this place another dollar based on my interactions with her. From scheduling my appointment she put me on hold for so long I started to think we got disconnected, and then never apologized for the long wait. When I arrived for the appointment, she had the same personality, basically none. She seemed to have a "better than you normal people" attitude. When I checked out, I was very pleasant. I dont know if it hurts her to smile, but based on the interaction, I can only assume it must be down right painful on her to even attempt a smile, or appear to be happy. Also this spa is very small, and you can hear every thing that everyone else is saying in there. Seems to be a group of gossiping, bitter women who have nothing else better to do. Once again, the girl that did my manicure was great, friendly, and very personable. But the snobby lady, that may be the owner, ruined it, and I will never recommended this place because of her.

I just finished receiving a hot stones massage unlike any other I have EVER had in the United States! The Miracle worker who blessed me with her hands was Amaaaaaaazing! The atmosphere was peaceful and calming. She took her time and I loved every second of it!!!

From making the appt to the facial I had with Barbara it was an excellent experience.

I had an appointment for massage today, but could not stay. Being chemical sensitive, the first scent I smell is nail polish remover ( the most toxic chemical) and nail polish..I was surprised that a Spa for massage, would want toxic smells to be their clientele's first experience walking in or seeing someone getting their nails done. I can walk in a cheap nail spa and have that experience, if I chose..I would much rather experience the scent of delicious essential oils like lavender or almond oil..When I mentioned to the young woman, at the front desk, I couldn't keep my appointment because I was chemical sensitive and already had a headache from the nail salon, she did not apologize or ask what she could do to make the experience more comfortable for me?! Instead she said that they don't do acrylics or gels and the smell is just from nail polish..( she forgot to mention the remover, which is mainly what I smelled). She looked at me as if I had two heads. Obviously, she was ignorant as to the chemicals in the products or the very common sensitivity..but her people skills were poor at best. She remained seated next to the wall, while the other receptionist was busy taking calls. Instead of giving me the courtesy to stand while she spoke to me. She also gave me a very dismissive look when I said I couldn't stay..My son and daughter-in law,, my boyfriend , and myself have all gone to massage school. We have all given and received massage and none of us can imagine walking into a massage spa, and smelling nail polish remover as our first scent..they don't go together..a shame because it's a beautiful location..I will go elsewhere..

I know what is like getting a "great" or "good" massage and pedicure. I been getting both of this treatments for years, specially massages. The atmosphere was good considering how small this place is. However paying over $200.00 to treat my sister and I at this place was not worth our time and money. The pedicure was poorly done and the colors peeling out of my nails after just two days...not sure why cause from any other salon it would last me for weeks. The massage? ....wow probably the worse i ever got. It was like someone just rubbing oil on my skin, someone that does not know any muscle function or technique and just wanted to get the whole thing over with ( I feel people's energy specially when they touch me). Totally dissatisfied considering how much this spa charges for this services... I love this town, specially the Tradition area, so I really wanted to try The Sanctuary Spa. Unfortunately, is not a place to try again. Next time, Ill be saving lots of $$$ for better massages and pedicures.
