I would strongly recommend avoiding this place, particularly if you are a woman, since they seem to like to bully women there and they have a problem with being honest about their work and holding up their end of a business transaction. Attempting to retain my sons property just added the icing to the cake. I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau to report this business and it's practices as well.
Large selection but the employees never looked up from the computer to even greet us. But they let my 2year sit on their bikes
When I asked why they had not checked the battery during a "full diagnostic" or the checked the electrical system I was told that, "they don't do that"!! Really? So what exactly did I pay a diagnostic fee for then? So I again reminded them that I paid for a full diagnostic, the owner became very ugly and started yelling and became very threatening towards me He demanded that I. "get that bike out of his shop TODAY". I calmly stated that we would be there shortly.
I Strongly Recommend Treasure Coast Scooters.
The owner was behaving like a five year old having a temper tantrum and had ridiculously reversed the charges from my credit card and demanded cash payment instead. He became so abusive and unreasonable that we had to call the police and had to pay cash to get our property returned.
Due to all the negative reviews, I won't go here. Sounds like they need a good manager rather than a pissed off mechanic
If there were negative numbers I would use them for my experience here. My son needed repairs for a minor starting problem and a full diagnostic to check out any unknown issues on a used scooter he had purchased. It was explained to me that it was an additional $35.00 fee on top of any repair costs for a full diagnostic which is the appropriate rate. After this was done and a few repairs were made I paid the transaction with my credit card. My son picked up the scooter and that is where the real nightmare began. The scooter broke down within five miles and ten minutes of leaving the shop.
I Was New To The World Of Scooters. They Took The Time To Help Me Find The Right Bike, Based On My Needs. I'm Very Pleased With The Quality Of The Scooter I Purchased.
About 2 weeks ago I brought in a 1990 Yamaha Zuma 50cc scooter which I was having problems with the carb and could hardly ride it. I looked up carbs on-line and thought I was in for a massive repair bill. When I walked in the door and started to explain my problem the mechanic said "I heard you drive up, I already know what's wrong". I also explained I needed the back brake adjusted and maybe a new spark plug as I had no idea the last time it was serviced. Before I left I asked them to call with a price estimate after they looked at it and was told "no problem" 24 hours later I received a call and to my suprise told that my scooter was ready. When I arrived and told the price for the repairs I thought they had made a mistake, it was about a third of what i figured. The mechanic told me that the carb was japanese and that it was quality and though 27 years old only needed to be rebuilt. He also took a c loser look on his own for anymore issues which it didn't. I wasn't charged for that or some other minor adjustments he did. Everyone was happy to answer all my questions and performed the repairs quickly and inexpensively. Highly recommended.
When my son arrived to pick up the scooter an hour later he was told that they were "holding' the bike" even though the charges for the repairs had been paid three days earlier.
Outstanding Customer Service! These Guys Genuinely Care. Wither its purchasing your 1st scooter, or performing repairs. They will Go The Extra Mile.
Upon returning the scooter to the shop he was told that the battery was bad as was the electrical charging system. I contacted the shop and talked to them and was told that the "diagnostic fee" I paid did not cover the whole bike only the "starting problem in question". This absolutely was NOT what we discussed and I did check with other shops, many of whom stated that they do charge a diagnostic fee for a full diagnostic on a scooter but NOT to investigate a specific repair problem.
10 Months Later, I've purchased my 2nd scoot from Treasure Coast Scooters. Great Deal on a used model, with low miles. Decided to go bigger this time, due to the higher posted speed limits in my area. If you live locally, i would recommend a Big Bore Kit on a 50cc - Minimum. Thanks again Treasure Coast Scooters.
