At no time were we made aware of anyone demanding your catered food. Other than the wait staff who served your dinners, no other lodge members has access to your catering. It is less than fair to claim otherwise.
We at the Elks take pride in being a multi-cultural, multi-racial organization dedicated to service to our community, veterans and children regardless of Race, Religion or Political affiliation.. For you to imply racial discrimination is outrageous and a insult to all Elks, especially those involved in your banquet. The service provided to you and your wedding party was friendly and pleasantly spirited in spite of your unreasonable demands. I challenge you to find another banquet facility that would be as accommodating and push the sides of the envelope the way we did for you. In the future perhaps you can be a little more objective and factual in your reviews.
I was very surprised with the treatment we received from 2 of the workers, with the way the world is today I'm sorry to say this but I didn't expect to be treated nice being that im dark skin. Thank you Elks Lodge.
Champagne was not included in your contract, the option was discussed with you prior to your signing and you chose not to include it, however, again we accommodated you and provided champagne at our cost price. Your representative was completely satisfied with this. The plastic champagne flutes were provided to you at our expense.

First of all your rental was for the Lodge hall, a separate room closed to the general membership. You chose, without permission, to decorate the entire lodge and use the social quarters as well as the lodge hall for your reception. We accommodated you, even though this was not part of your contract. You were made aware of the probability of Lodge members being in the social quarters. At no time was your reception in the hall violated by any members other than our wait staff and Officers attending to your demands.
Great lodge and people..totally enjoyed my birthday dinner. Glad to see officers there for our safety. ER Arlene was wonderful.
I liked the fact the hall was large enough to accommodate guest but the club members intruded all night we had an open bar and in less than 30 minutes they say we had reached 300.00 which I thought was insane seeing that the drinks were not more than 6.00 my caterers kept coming to me with complaints about staff and members asking for our food that was prepared for the wedding party they also promised me complimentary champagne for the toast which the said they didn't remember telling us that I truly felt like because we were who we were(BLACK) is the reason we were not treated with the same respect as other guest ,from the time my decorators got there until after reception was over I had nothing but problems and Mrs Arlene was very rude I brought all of this to her attention and she tried to act very clueless when she was part of the problem .Make sure if you book keep your receipts or bank statements because she also ask me for more money saying I didn't pay full deposit but when I pulled my statement she looked like a fool.

As far as your bar reserve being depleted quickly, lets do the math. You party had well over 100 people in attendance, granted, some of them children, however let's assume that 50 of your guests had a beverage upon their arrival. At $6.00 per drink that is $300 well within the first hour of your reception. Several of your guests guests asked for premium brands, ie. Hennessey, Grey Goose, Absolut, B&B. Black Label and the like, all of which are higher in price than the $6.00 platform you referred to. Generally, we recommend for a open bar an allowance of $10-$15 per guest. That would have placed your reserve at $1000 to $1500. YOU chose $300.00 as your maximum. In fact, when your reserve was depleted several of your guests ordered beverages and when informed the tab had been depleted, stated they had no money. Rather than cause a embarrassment to you and not serve the drink, the beverages were given complimentary with the understanding that there would be a charge for future orders. A think a poll of your guests would reveal they truly enjoyed the friendly, accommodating service provided by the bar staff.
