I will admit I was nervous taking my 2 year old daughter to this ER yesterday for a high fever based on reviews alone. I came here to set the record straight. Seems like some people have a hard time separating what they had going on with themselves and the actual hospital itself. I experienced the complete opposite of these reviews. Every person on staff we encountered was polite and sympathetic to both myself and my daughters. This is an emergency room, people need to realize they are not checking into a hotel. The nurses and doctors are working to the max to help every person that comes in. They have no idea how many people they will see in one day. Although the rooms were full and we had a bed in the hallway we were still fine, because the amount of compassion these people had made up for it. Both nurses and the doctor himself apologized for having to be in the hall and thanked us for being patient. I reassured them we were completely fine being in the hall, I was just happy to have such a warm welcome during a stressful day. If you made it all the way through this review then please don't hesitate to give this ER a chance, I'm glad I did!
Tradition Medical Center's prompt evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and coordination of further care saved my life.
I am amazed at how passionate and thorough the staff at Tradition Medical Center have been during my stay. As an emergency patient I was terrified at the unknown of my condition (placental abruption, preterm labor). The entire staff from the security to the nurses, doctors to the food delivery staff, created the most wonderful experience from an unexpected situation. I cannot rave enough to family and friends at how well I was treated, how clean the facility was, and even how tasty the food is! The anesthesiologist had incredible bedside manner and kept me calm during my C section. Dr. McCurdy became my OB as she was not my original practitioner however her calm demeanor and incredible suture skills are only two of her many warming characteristics. The nursing staff was by far your best asset as they worked so hard to make my stay comfortable and structured. I always felt that I was in the best hands and that they were working to ensure everything was being done for the health and wellness of myself and my son! Now that Nathan is born we are experiencing the NICU and just as expected the care has been phenomenal in that department as well. Dr. Patel, the nurses and everyone taking care of my child has given me relief in knowing that he is experiencing competent and compassionate care. I truly cannot express how externally grateful I am to everyone in this hospital. Words just aren’t enough to say how thankful I am for your professional care. I will tell everyone I know that the best hospital in the world is right in the neighborhood. Thank you to everyone at Tradition Medical Center!
Side note: I have visited TMC on several other occasions for both myself and family/friends and I have only appreciation for the care received.
2 years ago Tradition Hospital and MMMC saved my life. I went to the ER via ambulance for a life threatening emergency. I was followed into a room by several nurses and seen by the physician within minutes. Within 30 minutes of arriving in the Tradition ER I was having a CT scan; the ER doctor had the results within minutes of my return from radiology. I was started on IV medications and even though the ER physician had already arranged for me to be transported to Martin North (MMMC) that evening in preparation for a procedure, I was still given a regular room on Tradition's telemetry unit.
I'm here now, and unfortunately this is my only option due to my current location. I have an auto immune disease that has caused me to be in many an emergency room late at night. However, since relocating to Port Saint Lucie from Atlanta, I dread even seeking healthcare. To begin with the guys at the front desk are ALWAYS jerky. The staff is SLOW, unprofessional, messy, inattentive, and did I mention that they leave you in the hallway for hours like an afterthought? I am sitting here with pneumonia and I've been in the hallway for 4 HOURS! Not once has anyone asked if I needed water, or a pillow, or to use the restroom. The man who took my blood was super rough with me. They are some smiling faces and nice words but it doesn't make up for the terrible service. I'm going to take good care of myself or drive all the way to PGA next time.
I LOVE THIS ER!!! I was terrified to go to the ER from the pains I was having. I imagined the worst but I got the best! The wait time to be seen was under 5 minutes. The doctor immediately came to me, asked what was going on and did what he could do before they did any tests. I was there for a few hours because they had to do a lot of test but everyone who I ran into was extremely nice, respectful, fast, and seemed like they all wanted to truly help me!! I have no idea how this ER has ANY bad reviews. This is the only ER I will ever go to! If I went to another ER I know that I would be there double the time. I've been here once before and also had a good experience. After reading the comments I spoke to a friend of mine who visits here often due to medical problems. She agreed that this is an amazing hospital also and has never heard of anyone complain about their experience!!!
